About the role

The MLP promotes excellence in patient care by advancing the quality, efficient, and cost-effective care, and scope of medical practice through clinical practice, education, consultation, research, and administrative roles. Assists supervising physician in the management of patients and performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures under the supervision of the physician.

Responsibilities

• Affirms the mission, vision, values, and goals of St. Mary's Medical Center
• Assists supervising physician in the management of patients and performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures under the supervision of the physician
• Participates in the development and implementation of policies and procedures that support the mission, vision, values, and goals of St. Mary's Medical Center
• Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to ensure the provision of comprehensive, coordinated, and high-quality patient care
• Contributes to the educational development of students, residents, and other healthcare providers
• Engages in research activities that contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field of medicine
• Provides administrative support to the department as needed

Requirements

• Current licensure as a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the state of [State]
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) program
• Experience in a clinical setting preferred
