About the role

The MLP promotes excellence in patient care by advancing the quality, efficient, and cost-effective care, and scope of medical practice through clinical practice, education, consultation, research, and administrative roles. Assists supervising physician in the management of patients and performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures under the supervision of the physician.

Responsibilities

• Affirms the mission, vision, values, and strategic plan of St. Mary's Medical Center
• Assists supervising physician in the management of patients and performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures under the supervision of the physician
• Participates in clinical practice, education, consultation, research, and administrative roles to advance the quality, efficiency, and cost-effective care, and scope of medical practice

Requirements

• Current license to practice as an Advanced Practice Provider in the State of [State]
• Current certification from the National Certification Corporation (NCC) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
• Completion of an accredited program in advanced practice nursing or physician assistant
• Experience in a healthcare setting preferred
