ADVANCED PRACTICE NURSE - ORTHOPEDICS

About the role

The Cooper Bone & Joint Institute at Cooper University Health Care is seeking an Advanced Practice Nurse to support its expanding Podiatry service. This position plays a crucial role in enhancing patient access and continuity of care for postoperative patients and those with routine foot and ankle conditions.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage postoperative podiatry patients.
• Provide routine follow-up care for non-operative foot and ankle conditions.
• Perform wound assessments and ongoing wound management within scope of practice.
• Monitor healing progression and coordinate care with podiatric surgeons.
• Educate patients on postoperative care, wound care, diabetic foot care, and preventive strategies.
• Collaborate with vascular surgery, wound care, primary care, endocrinology, and other specialties as appropriate.
• Auxiliary in developing comprehensive foot preservation and limb preservation initiatives.
• Participate in quality improvement efforts and multidisciplinary care coordination.

Requirements

• Orthopedic experience (preferred).
• Master's Degree - Nurse Practitioner.
• NJ Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse licensure and Board certification is required.
• BLS certification is required.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $XX.XX - $XXXX.XX per year, commensurate with experience.
