ADVANCED PRACTICE PROVIDER - ORTHOPEDICS

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients presenting with acute and urgent musculoskeletal conditions.
• Perform comprehensive history and physical examinations.
• Order and interpret imaging and other diagnostic studies.
• Develop treatment plans and provide non-operative management when appropriate.
• Perform procedures within scope of practice (splinting, injections, wound care).
• Identify conditions requiring urgent surgical or specialty consultation.
• Cook up seamless referrals to orthopaedic subspecialists.
• Educate patients regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, APPs, nursing, therapy, and ancillary services.

Requirements

• Orthopedic experience is highly preferred.
• Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant Program or a Master's in Nursing.
• New Jersey Physician Assistant license; Physician Assistant - NCCPA & Assistant; American Heart Association BLS certification required.
