About the role

We are seeking a Breast Oncology APN to join our multidisciplinary Hematology Oncology Physicians of Englewood (HOPE) in New Jersey. This role supports comprehensive care across the continuum—from high-risk assessment and diagnostic workup to treatment, survivorship, and long-term follow-up.

Responsibilities

  • Determines and prioritizes patient care needs.
  • Determines and prioritizes diagnoses from the assessment data using appropriate complex clinical reasoning.
  • Performs or implements interventions and treatments with knowledge of health care research findings and reflecting a scientific basis and theory.
  • Orders, performs, and interprets laboratory tests.
  • Selects and performs tests and therapeutic procedures for the patient as necessary, adhering to scope of practice guidelines and program area's curriculum.
  • Prescribes drugs as necessary as appropriate for the Hematology/Oncology office in accordance with state and federal law.
  • Provides preventive care and diagnosis and treatment of episodic, short-term, and stable chronic hematologic/oncologic problems.
  • Identifies educational needs of patients and families and collaborates with other members of the multidisciplinary patient care team to develop programs and materials for team members, patient/family, and the community.
  • Completes patient care milestones and education such as Chemo talks, Survivorship, and Geriatric Assessment as defined by disease specific NCCN guidelines.

Requirements

  • Current New Jersey Professional Nurse License
  • Current Nurse Practitioner License
  • Board Certification required
  • ONS Chemo/Bio Certification within 3 months of hire required
  • Master's Degree in Nursing required
  • Current CDS & DEA required
  • BLS and ACLS required
  • 3-5 years' recent clinical experience in area of expertise preferred
  • Previous leadership/teaching experience preferred
