About the role
The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for inpatient weekend rounding on voluntary and involuntary Psychiatric Units at Clara Maas Medical Center. The Nurse Practitioner performs duties independently following established and standardized procedures and methods, referring questionable situations to a physician. The NP provides primary health care through assessment, diagnosis, clinical judgment, and management to restore, maintain, and improve the health status of patients.
Schedule
- Weekend days
- 2-4 shifts per month
- 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Responsibilities
- Perform inpatient weekend rounding on voluntary and involuntary Psychiatric Units
- Assess, diagnose, and manage patient health using clinical judgment
- Follow established procedures and refer complex cases to physicians
- Provide primary health care to restore, maintain, and improve patient health
Requirements
- Active APN License
- Nurse Practitioner Certification
- Active RN License
- CDS and DEA certifications
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Inpatient Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) experience
- Geriatrics PMHNP experience
Pay
The anticipated hourly wage range for this position is $57.69 - $93.41 per hour. The compensation offered will depend on the candidate's educational background, skills, and professional experience.
