Advanced Practice Clinician, Per Diem
About the role
Provides clinical leadership to improve compliance with quality and care standards, managing inter-professional teams across patient populations. Acts as a clinical resource, offering advanced nursing care in accordance with regulations and national standards, under supervision of the Clinical Director.
Responsible for delivering comprehensive, advanced nursing services including assessments, post-discharge visits, care management, and urgent interventions. Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare teams to develop and adjust care plans, ensuring quality outcomes and regulatory compliance.
Participates in team meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and may serve as a preceptor or peer reviewer. Performs procedures within scope, manages documentation, and may work in various settings including virtual and home visits.
For Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners, conducts psychosocial assessments, provides mental health services, and consults with psychiatrists.
Qualifications
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner in New York, with specialty certification and current registration.
- Master's degree in Nursing or related field, with ANCC or AANP certification.
- Minimum two years of clinical experience as a nurse practitioner, with psychiatric experience for Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners.
- Valid driver's license may be required.
- Bilingual skills preferred.
Pay
$200 per visit & $77.72/hour for meetings or training.
