About the role
The Advanced Nuclear Medicine Technologist operates nuclear medicine imaging equipment to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment. They ensure radiation safety, maintain high-quality imaging standards, and communicate effectively with patients and healthcare teams.
Responsibilities
- Operate nuclear medicine imaging equipment
- Ensure radiation safety and compliance with NRC regulations and ALARA standards
- Maintain high-quality imaging standards
- Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare teams
- Adhere to biohazard safety protocols
- Perform duties requiring physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and prolonged standing
- Demonstrate manual dexterity for various clinical tasks
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Radiology Sciences Program
- Clinical experience in nuclear medicine
- Relevant licensure or certification (e.g., NMTCB or ARRT (N))
Skills
- Knowledge of radiation safety standards and NRC regulations
