Advanced Heart Failure Transplant Cardiology Temple

About the role

The Advanced Heart Failure Transplant Cardiologist will join a team of 8 advanced heart failure specialists who support approximately 50 heart replacements annually. The team focuses on quality and longitudinal well-being for patients.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient and outpatient heart failure and transplant consultation service
• AACME education of Cardiology Fellows and Internal Medicine Residents
• Rotating service on the inpatient cardiac transplant service at BSWH Memorial Hospital in Temple, Texas
• Performing Cath lab procedures (right heart catheterization, implantable pulmonary artery monitors)
• Reading ECHO for VAD and Heart Transplant

Qualifications

• UNOS qualified for the care of patients with cardiac transplants
• Must be board certified/board eligible in Cardiology
• Interest in education and research is encouraged, but not essential
