About the role
The Advanced Heart Failure Transplant Cardiologist will join a team of 8 advanced heart failure specialists who support approximately 50 heart replacements annually. The team focuses on quality and longitudinal well-being for patients.
Responsibilities
- Inpatient and outpatient heart failure and transplant consultation service
- AACME education of Cardiology Fellows and Internal Medicine Residents
- Rotating service on the inpatient cardiac transplant service at BSWH Memorial Hospital in Temple, Texas
- Performing Cath lab procedures (right heart catheterization, implantable pulmonary artery monitors)
- Reading ECHO for VAD and Heart Transplant
Qualifications
- UNOS qualified for the care of patients with cardiac transplants
- Licensed to Practice Medicine in the state of Texas by the Texas Medical Board by start date
- Doctorate Degree in Medicine
- Five years of experience in Cardiology

Schedule
The schedule is flexible and includes 6-8 weeks of call per year in the Temple location.
