Advanced Heart Failure Transplant Cardiology Temple
About the role
The Advanced Heart Failure Transplant Cardiologist will join a team of 8 advanced heart failure specialists who support approximately 50 heart replacements annually. The team focuses on quality and longitudinal well-being for patients and is part of a larger interdisciplinary team including structural, surgical, imaging, and critical care members.
Responsibilities
- Inpatient and outpatient heart failure and transplant consultation service
- AACGME education of Cardiology Fellows and Internal Medicine Residents
- Rotating service on the inpatient cardiac transplant service at BSWH Memorial Hospital in Temple, Texas
- Performing cath lab procedures (right heart catheterization, implantable pulmonary artery monitors)
- Reading ECHO for VAD and Heart Transplant
Qualifications
- UNOS qualified for the care of patients with cardiac transplants
- Must be board certified/board eligible in Cardiology
- Interest in education and research is encouraged, but not essential
