About the role
Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a fellowship trained, board certified/board eligible, Advanced Heart Failure Transplant Cardiologist for our Advanced Heart Failure Transplant team for the Temple Region.
Responsibilities
- Inpatient and outpatient heart failure and transplant consultation service
- ACGME education of Cardiology Fellows and Internal Medicine Residents
- Rotating service on the inpatient cardiac transplant service at BSWH Memorial Hospital in Temple, Texas
- Perform coverage for Transplant, inpatient and outpatient services
- Provide dedicated HF nurses and APP once a week with plans for expansion
- Opportunity to perform Cath lab procedures (i.e. right heart catheterization, implantable pulmonary artery monitors) and read ECHO for VAD and Heart Transplant
Requirements
Must be UNOS qualified for the care of patients with cardiac transplants.
An interest in education and research is encouraged, but not essential.
Qualifications
- Doctorate Degree in Medicine
- Licensed to Practice Medicine in the state of Texas by the Texas Medical Board by start date
- Currently board certified in his or her specialty or demonstrate active pursuit of board certification as defined by the appropriate specialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties or the Bureau of Osteopathic Specialists
