Job Summary

The Medical City Institute for Advanced Cardiac Care is seeking a board-certified advanced heart failure and transplant cardiologist to join their growing team. This position offers the opportunity to work in one of the largest healthcare systems in Texas, with cutting-edge facilities alongside world-class cardiology experts.

Qualified Candidates

  • Provide inpatient and outpatient services at Medical City Heart Hospital, Medical City Fort Worth, and Medical City Plano focusing on advanced heart failure management, cardiac transplantation, and mechanical circulatory support
  • Fellowship-trained and board eligible in advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology
  • Valid Texas medical license or the ability to obtain
  • Team player with excellent communication and outreach skills
  • Procedural competence in right heart catheterization and endomyocardial biopsy
  • Interest and experience in clinical research and/or medical education preferred, but not required

About Medical City Heart Hospital

  • Facility consists of 3 dedicated cardiovascular ORs, 2 hybrid ORs, 3 cardiac catheterization labs, 3 biplane EP/interventional catheterization labs, 43-bed CVICU and 48-bed progressive care unit with 24/7 intensivist/hospitalist coverage
  • Part of 22 Medical City hospitals in North Texas with 4,100 beds in total
  • World class expertise in cardiac surgery, EP, structural heart disease, cardiac transplantation and mechanical circulatory support including durable LVAD, full suite of Impella devices, and VA- and VV-ECMO
  • Active cardiovascular clinical trials and registries as well as investigator-initiated studies
  • Cardiology fellowship training site with GME leadership opportunities
