Physician - Academic Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiologist

About the role

The Department of Cardiology at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana is seeking a BC/BE cardiologist specializing in Advanced Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplantation to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Perform inpatient and outpatient care for patients with advanced heart failure and cardiac transplant cases.
• Participate in the management of patients with amyloidosis, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, and pulmonary hypertension.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of the Ochsner Advanced Heart Failure clinic.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement cardiogenic shock protocols.

Requirements

• Board Certification in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease.
• Current DEA license.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree.
• Completion of a residency program in Internal Medicine.
• Completion of a Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship.
