About MH EMS Farmington Base
The MH EMS base covers all of Franklin County. On average, calls are about 80% 911, and the other 20% are IFT. The majority of IFT services go from the MH Franklin Campus to Maine Medical Center Portland but may travel to other facilities as well.
Summary
The EMT - Advanced role provides both basic and advanced life support during emergency pre-hospital and interfacility transfer care to patients when indicated by the patient's injury or illness in accordance with State and local protocols.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Education: Completion of EMT-Advanced course required.
- License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) EMT-Advanced license required. Valid driver's license required. Current BLS certification required.
