Responsibilities
The Advanced EMT role can provide basic life support with additional select advanced life support skills during both pre-hospital and interfacility transport to care for their patients when indicated by the patient’s injury or illness in accordance with State protocols and departmental guidelines.
But that duplicates summary. Maybe better to have About the role as summary, Responsibilities as same? Could combine but we need to avoid duplication? The instruction: "Preserve ALL substantive information; do NOT invent or summarize away detail." Duplication is okay if it's present? The summary is same as responsibilities; but we could keep only one section. However we need to decide which headings to include. Since we have both summary and responsibilities essentially same, we could just have one section "About the role" with that paragraph, and not create a Responsibilities section if it's just duplicate. But we need to preserve all substantive info; if we omit Responsibilities heading, we are not losing info because it's already in About the role. That's fine. Similarly, Requirements and Qualifications may overlap. We can combine into one section "Requirements" that includes education, license/certifications, driver's license, BLS, AVOC within 6 months, preferred skills. Experience N/A we skip. Additional Skills/Requirements Required N/A we skip. Preferred: basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology. We could also have a "Skills" section for preferred skills. But we can include them under Requirements. We need to avoid thin sections; better to have few substantive sections. Thus sections: - About the role (summary) - Requirements (education, licensure, certifications, driver's license, AVOC, preferred skills) - Benefits (paid parental leave, flexible work options, student loan assistance, professional development opportunities, well-being resources) - Pay (range $21.97 to $29.28 per hour) - Schedule (8, 12, and 24-hour shift structure, per diem base) We should also include location? Not required as heading. Could embed in About the role? Not needed. We must not include Job ID/requisition numbers as headings; we can drop. We need to use- for any list of duties/requirements/benefits. So for Requirements we can list items as
- . For Benefits also list.
We need to use
for prose. Thus:

Pay
The pay range for this position is $21.97 to $29.28 per hour.
Schedule
Per diem position with 8‑, 12‑, and 24‑hour shift options.
We should also maybe include note about base range estimate etc. But that's generic; we could include in Pay section as extra sentence: "The base range is an estimate and does not reflect the full value of our total compensation package." That's substantive? It's about pay. Could add. Thus Pay section:Pay
The pay range for this position is $21.97 to $29.28 per hour. The base range is an estimate and does not reflect the full value of our total compensation package.
We should also maybe include note about part-time prorated compensation, shift differentials etc. That's also about pay/compensation. Could add. Thus Pay section could have multiple sentences. Now check for any duplicated lines: we avoided. Check for boilerplate removal: we removed scam alert, surveillance notice, contact email, any EEO etc. Check for any leftover boilerplate: The sentence "Any offer of employment will depend on qualifications such as skills, relevant experience, education, certifications, and other job-related factors." That's generic but maybe we could keep under Requirements? It's about offer depending on qualifications; could be considered generic but it's still info. However it's not a list; we could add a paragraph under Requirements after the list. But it's somewhat generic; but not explicitly prohibited. The instruction: "Remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate". This sentence is not exactly EEO; it's about offer depending on qualifications. Might be considered boilerplate but not sure. Safer to keep? The instruction says "Preserve ALL substantive information". This is substantive? It's generic but still part of posting. I'd keep it as a paragraph under Requirements. Thus after the- we can add
Any offer of employment will depend on qualifications such as skills, relevant experience, education, certifications, and other job‑related factors.
Now check for any other generic filler like "We recognize the value each team member brings to our organization." That's under Additional Information; we could incorporate into Benefits or a separate section "About MaineHealth"? But we don't have a heading for that. Could add a short paragraph under Benefits or maybe a separate section "About the organization". But we only have headings list; we could add a section "About MaineHealth" but not in the prescribed list. The instruction says usefor section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). It gives examples but not exclusive? It says "use
for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule)." Likely they expect only those headings. So we should not add other headings. So we can incorporate that sentence into Benefits or maybe a separate
under Benefits? But it's not a benefit. Could add under Requirements? Not ideal. Maybe we can add a short paragraph after Benefits as a general statement but without heading? That would be a stray
not under a heading; but the instruction didn't forbid stray paragraphs, just said use
for section headings. It didn't say all content must be under a heading. However typical approach is to wrap everything in sections. Safer to put it under Benefits as an extra bullet? Not a benefit. Could add a separate
after Benefits without heading; but that might be considered stray. I'd rather incorporate it into
- . For Benefits also list.
