About the role

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider for Per Diem shifts in the Cardiac Surgery department at the New Brunswick campus. This role will rotate between ICU and floor depending on the candidate's skill level and includes exposure to weekend and night coverage.

Responsibilities

• Adapt and adjust to a large volume acute patient population
• Perform procedures such as central line placement, arterial line placement, and chest tube placement
• Work as an autonomous provider, making treatment decisions and advancing patient care
• Utilize Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) (preferred)

Requirements

• Graduate from an NP program with certification in Acute Care or Adult with previous critical care experience, or graduate from an accredited PA program
• 3-6 years of critical care experience minimum
• Current NJ APN or PA license
• NCCPA certification (for PAs)
• Controlled Dangerous Substances (CDS) certification
• DEA certification
• Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification

Pay

The anticipated hourly wage range for this position is $57.69 - $93.41 per hour. The compensation offered will depend on the candidate's educational background, skills, and professional experience.
