Advance Practice Provider FT Day Cardiac NB
About the Role
RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider for the Cardiac Surgery department at the New Brunswick campus. This role will rotate between floor/ICU with possible training and rotation to the cardiac surgery operating room for the right candidate. The position includes rotational nights, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Adapt and adjust to a large volume of acute patient population.
- Perform procedures such as central line placement, arterial line placement, and chest tube placement (preferred).
- Work as an autonomous provider, making treatment decisions and advancing patient care.
- Utilize Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) (preferred).
- Operate to the full extent of licensure.
Requirements
- Graduate from an NP program with certification in Acute Care, or Adult with previous critical care experience.
- For OR consideration, NPs must have RNFA certification.
- Physician Assistants must have graduated from an accredited PA program.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of critical care experience.
Qualifications
- Current NJ APN/PA license.
- NCCPA certification (for PAs).
- CDS and DEA certification.
- RN license.
- RNFA certification (optional for NPs).
- BLS and ACLS certification.

Pay
The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $125,000.00 - $195,000.00 per year. The compensation offered will depend on the candidate's educational background, skills, and professional experience.
