Advance Practice Provider FT Day Cardiac APP's NB

About the Role

RWJBH is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider for the Cardiac Surgery department at the New Brunswick campus. This role will rotate between floor/ICU with possible training and rotation to the cardiac surgery operating room for the right candidate. The position includes rotational nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Adapt and adjust to a large volume of acute patient population
• Perform procedures such as central line placement, arterial line placement, and chest tube placement
• Work as an autonomous provider, making treatment decisions and advancing patient care
• Utilize POCUS (Point-of-Care Ultrasound) as needed
• Operate to the full extent of licensure

Requirements

• Graduate from an NP program with certification in Acute Care or Adult with previous critical care experience
• For OR rotation, NP must have RNFA certification
• Physician Assistants must have graduated from an accredited PA program
• 2-3 years of critical care experience minimum

Qualifications

• Current NJ APN/PA license
• NCCPA certification (for PAs)
• CDS (Controlled Dangerous Substances) certification
• DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) certification
• RN (Registered Nurse) license
• RNFA certification (optional for NPs)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification

$125,000.00 - $195,000.00 per year
