Advance Practice Provider NBR - PD Day Cardiac APP

Per diem shifts in the Cardiac Surgery department at the New Brunswick campus. This role will rotate between ICU and floor depending on skill level and includes weekend and night coverage as well as OR coverage.

Responsibilities

• Manage a large volume of acute patients with effective time management and critical care skills
• Perform procedures such as central line placement, arterial line placement, and chest tube placement
• Work autonomously to make treatment decisions and advance patient care
• Utilize Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) as preferred
• Operate to the full extent of your license
• Provide surgical first assisting and vein harvesting for OR shifts

Requirements

• Graduate from an NP program with certification in Acute Care or Adult, and previous critical care experience
• APNs must have RNFA certification for OR coverage
• Physician Assistants must have graduated from an accredited PA program
• 4-7 years of critical care experience minimum
• Current NJ APN/PA license
• NCCPA certification (for PAs)
• CDS, DEA, and RN licenses required
• RNFA certification
• BLS and ACLS certifications

Pay

The anticipated hourly wage range for this position is $57.69 - $91.34 per hour. The compensation offered will depend on the candidate's educational background, skills, and professional experience.
