Advance Practice Provider- FT Day Surgery NB

About the role

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider for our Trauma/Acute Care Surgery Service at the New Brunswick campus. The role is daytime only. The APPs work in collaboration with the acute care surgical residency to provide high-level care for trauma and acute care surgery patients, primarily inpatient with flexibility to outpatient as required.

Responsibilities

• Possess effective time management and trauma assessment skills
• Adapt and adjust to a large volume of acute patient population
• Work autonomously and provide support to surgical residency programs
• Perform procedures such as chest tube placement, suturing, and wound care

Requirements

• Graduate of an Acute Care NP program or an accredited Physician Assistant program
• 2 years of Trauma/Acute Care Surgery experience preferred
• Current NJ APN/PA license
• National certification as a Nurse Practitioner from an accredited certifying body (NP) or NCCPA certification (PA)
• CDS, DEA, BLS, ACLS, and ATLS certifications required

Pay

Anticipated annual salary range: $125,000.00 - $195,000.00 per year. The compensation offered will depend on the candidate's educational background, skills, and professional experience.
