Advance Practice Provider FT Day Surgical NB

About the Role

RWJBH is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider for our Trauma/Acute Care Surgery Service at the New Brunswick Campus. This daytime role involves working in collaboration with the acute care surgical residency to provide high-level care for trauma and acute care surgery patients, primarily inpatient with flexibility to outpatient as required.

Candidates should possess effective time management and trauma assessment skills and must be able to adapt to a large volume of acute patient population.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level care for trauma and acute care surgery patients in collaboration with the acute care surgical residency.
• Work autonomously and support surgical residency programs.
• Perform procedures such as chest tube placement, suturing, and wound care.

Requirements

• Graduate of an Acute Care NP program or an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• 2 years of Trauma/Acute Care Surgery experience preferred.
• Skills with procedures such as chest tube placement, suturing, and wound care are preferable.

Qualifications

• Current NJ APN/PA license required.
• National certification as a Nurse Practitioner from an accredited certifying body required (for NPs).
• NCCPA certification required (for PAs).
• CDS, DEA, BLS, ACLS, and ATLS certifications required.

Pay

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $125,000.00 - $195,000.00 per year. The compensation offered will depend on the candidate's educational background, skills, and professional experience.
