Responsibilities
- Provide individualized tutoring to adult learners in reading, writing, and math
- Support learners preparing for CASAS Math and Reading/Language Arts placement testing
- Teach test-taking strategies to build learner confidence and readiness
- Help learners develop and demonstrate competencies required for NEDP diploma completion
- Incorporate AI tools where appropriate to support learning and skill-building
Qualifications
- BA/BS required
- Strong communication and writing skills
- Solid math skills, with the ability to teach foundational and applied concepts
- Familiarity with standardized testing, particularly CASAS assessments, preferred
- Comfort using AI tools to enhance instruction
- Patience, flexibility, and a genuine interest in adult education
- Prior tutoring or teaching experience a plus, but not required
Schedule & Pay
- 5 hours per week, schedule to be arranged
- $51.58/hour
- Position is grant-funded through the end of fiscal year 2028 (June 30, 2028)
