Adult ED Tech - Full Time

About the role

A multi-skilled caregiver working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, age-appropriate patient care by performing vital signs, 12-lead EKG, blood sugar testing, wound care, oral suctioning, splinting, and patient instruction on ambulation with crutches.
• Operate cardiac monitors, pulse oximetry, and specialty equipment, ensuring proper setup and maintenance.
• Transport patients, supplies, equipment, and medications securely.
• Monitor patients in restraint or seclusion, document observations, and respond to telesitter escalations.
• Maintain patient care areas, ensure supply stock, and perform environmental safety rounds.
• Recognize and communicate arrhythmias, assist with sterile procedures, and perform phlebotomy.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• Certifications in BLS (or equivalent) are mandatory.
• Effective communication, computer proficiency, teamwork, self-motivation, and manual vital signs skills are essential.
• Prior experience is preferred but not required.
