Adult Confirmation Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Trained small group facilitator gifted in adult accompaniment
• Facilitate small group discussions during Adult Confirmation sessions
• Curate, review, and evaluate ongoing faith formation resources for adult disciples
• (Co-lead) and conduct (lead) catechist/facilitator trainings
• Lead catechist with a vision of evangelizing catechesis & discipleship development
• Lead adult Confirmation sessions, as needed, with emphasis on discipleship development
• Knowledge of the archdiocesan Adult Confirmation process, sacramental policies and adult faith accompaniment methodologies
• Collaborate with ministry team for ongoing curriculum adaptations and visioning
• Attend Adult Confirmation Liturgies to welcome, support and accompany candidates

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Theology, Pastoral Ministry or related field of study from an accredited college or university, or equivalency
• At least three years of experience in adult formation, outreach, ministry, and administration
• Fully committed to the Catholic Church’s teaching on the Gospel message
• Passion for accompanying adult disciples on their faith journey
• Open to trainings for the development of pastoral accompaniment skills as needed
• Able to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people, including persons with varied social, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds
• Excellent communicator, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
• Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Power Point, and Excel
• Working knowledge of the Zoom platform

Preferred

• Master’s Degree in Theology or related field of Study
• Five or more years of proven professional experience in the field of adult formation, outreach, ministry, and administration
• Excellent communications and conflict resolution skills
• Bilingual English/Spanish

This position has an annualized salary range of $53,446 - $65,472. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on many factors including but not limited to: relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and organizational needs.
