Immanuel Communities is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing to work at Deerfield, located at 13731 Hickman Road, Urbandale, IA 50323. Deerfield includes 122 independent living apartment homes, 32 independent living patio homes, 20 assisted living units, 24 residential care apartment homes, and 30 long-term care/skilled nursing suites.
About the role
The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) has 24-hour accountability and supports the Director of Nursing (DON) with the delivery of efficient and effective nursing care while achieving positive clinical outcomes, and resident/family and employee satisfaction. The ADON serves as a clinical operational liaison between the households and the DON/Executive Director. Responsibilities include facilitating the implementation of the care delivery model and processes, mentoring staff, coordinating and communicating with other departments, and ensuring patient and family satisfaction.
Requirements
- Completion of a Registered Nurse program in an accredited institution.
- Current license as a Registered Nurse in Nebraska or Iowa (Nebraska and Iowa are Compact States, so the license must be held in the state of residence).
- Resident Assessment Coordinator–Certification (RAC-CT) is preferred.
- Three (3) years of progressive experience as a Registered Nurse in a long-term care and/or medical/surgical setting.

Pay
