Position Summary
As ED Registration Rep., your responsibilities include interviewing and gathering complete and accurate demographic data to complete the registration process efficiently and expeditiously. Follows EMTALA’s regulations, not acting on insurance until the medical screening exam (MSE) is complete. Collects appropriate monies after the MSE is complete and obtains authorization for treatment and/or admission. Obtains appropriate signatures on all registration forms, and scans the appropriate forms. Completes insurance verification on accounts, and breaks down charts for the appropriate departments.

Requirements
- One year previous work experience
- AB508 Training within three (3) months
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Medical terminology
- Previous Emergency Registration experience or hospital experience
- Basic knowledge of EMTALA and triage procedures
- Computer and typing skills
- Customer Service skills
Qualifications
- Preferred qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent, AB508 Training within three (3) months, Previous Emergency Registration experience or hospital experience, Basic knowledge of EMTALA and triage procedures, Computer and typing skills, Customer Service skills

- Physical Requirements: Hearing and visual acuity, Manual dexterity to perform keyboard functions, Ability to push wheelchairs, Ability to lift 25 pounds
