Admissions Reader

Responsibilities

• Reviews student applications and makes admissions recommendations based on established criteria.
• May interview prospective students for set admissions criteria.
• Reviews and evaluates undergraduate applications from assigned geographic regions/schools (domestic and international).
• Determines admissibility based on various secondary / post-secondary school curricula and credit review, non-academic / extra-curricular engagement, written communication samples and non-cognitive and values-based characters, behavior demonstration.
• Evaluates academic and non-academic components of individual undergraduate applications to recommend the potential inclusion of merit-based scholarships to applicants who demonstrate outstanding potential, regardless of financial circumstances.
• Engages in ongoing learning, remaining current with Admissions best practices and incorporating new knowledge into day-to-day work.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required
• 1 year of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required

Qualifications

• New York State Residency is required.
• A cover letter is also required.
