Job Summary
The Office of Admissions, Operations and Systems is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Student Assistant to join our team. This position will provide valuable experience in customer service, and data entry. You will be part of a vibrant and collaborative environment where your contributions are not only valued but celebrated!
Responsibilities
- Assist prospective students with their CSUSB application and admissions inquiries via phone or in person.
- Schedule appointments for students to see Admissions Counselors.
- Take in and write receipts for student documents such as, transcripts, test scores, and residency information.
- Aid in all Admissions and Student Recruitment programs, events, and off-campus visits.
- Conduct campus tours to individuals and groups.
- Perform general office activities, such as typing, operating office machines, processing mail, or securing confidential materials.
- Attend college fairs, representing CSUSB for the recruitment of prospective students to the university.
- Conduct admissions presentations to K-12 students wishing to learn more about higher education, requirements, etc.
- Participate in call campaigns.
- Perform other duties as assigned by office manager(s) for the overall function of the office and/or institution of CSUSB.
Qualifications
- Ability to learn and perform assigned work; follow oral instructions; work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and other students; communicate effectively with all levels; and read and write English at a level appropriate to the position.
- Maintain a 2.0 GPA or greater per semester and cumulative.
- Students must be enrolled in at least halftime units at CSUSB (6 units undergraduate; 3 units graduate).
- International students must have full-time enrollment at CSUSB. (12 units undergraduate; 6 units graduate).
- Eligible to work in the United States.
