Federal Work-Study (FWS) Student Assistant
About the role
We are seeking a dependable, organized, and customer-focused Federal Work-Study (FWS) Student Assistant to provide administrative and operational support in a professional office environment. This position plays an important role in maintaining daily office operations, assisting faculty, staff, and visitors, and supporting special projects across multiple departments.
Responsibilities
- Sorting and distributing mail, receiving and delivering packages.
- Maintaining office equipment and supplies, running campus errands using a golf cart (training provided if needed).
- Keeping shared workspaces clean and organized.
- Organizing supply areas, maintaining common spaces, supporting document shredding and recycling, and assisting with routine office upkeep.
- Preparing thank-you letters, organizing digital files, and assisting with communications, technology inventory, and other departmental initiatives as assigned.
Requirements
- Students must have been awarded Federal Work Study for the 2026 – 2027 school year and be available to work on campus.
- Reliable, professional, and willing to learn new skills.
- Able to manage multiple tasks, communicate professionally, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills, strong organizational abilities, and a willingness to assist with a variety of office responsibilities are essential.
Work schedules will be developed collaboratively with the supervisor and will vary based on student availability and school schedules.
