About the role

We are seeking a motivated Admissions Counselor to join our team at Grand Canyon Education. This role serves as the initial point of contact for prospective students interested in enrolling in online degree programs offered by Grand Canyon University.

Responsibilities

  • Implement a phone campaign strategy that includes 100+ dials and 3+ hours of talk time per day.
  • Reach out to new and prospective online students to introduce them to the online classroom environment and maintain detailed and accurate records of student information while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Use your passion for serving others to provide exceptional counseling to prospective students through various mediums including phone, email, and text.
  • Guide prospective Grand Canyon University students through the admissions process and ensure they have a successful online learning experience by clearly communicating program requirements, transfer credits, payment options, time commitment, technology requirements, and student support services.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree required.
  • No delinquent or in default on a federal student loan as verified in your credit report. If in a rehabilitation program, your credit report must reflect that you are current, not delinquent, on your payments.
  • Outstanding time management skills.
  • Clear communication skills, including explaining just about anything to anyone and being comfortable communicating on the phone and in writing.
  • Self-motivation and drive to succeed.
  • High emotional intelligence, including the ability to demonstrate empathy.
  • Computer literacy, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Qualifications

  • Relevant industry-related professional experience is a plus.
  • Experience working with CRM tools is a plus.
  • Prior call center experience is a plus.

Benefits

This position offers a starting salary of $50,000 per year, with an earning potential of up to six figures after 5 years of successful service. Additionally, there are remote work opportunities available for out-of-state candidates residing outside of Phoenix, AZ. New hires will undergo a comprehensive three-week training program, which includes one week of in-person training at our Phoenix, AZ campus and two weeks of virtual training via Zoom.

Schedule

The role involves a combination of in-person and remote work, with a focus on flexible scheduling to accommodate the needs of both the candidate and the organization.

Pay

The starting salary for this position is $50,000 per year, with the potential for significant growth based on performance and experience.
