Admissions Counselor

Responsibilities

• Meeting with prospective students and families
• Leading information sessions and public presentations on campus and virtually
• Representing the office year-round through recruitment and travel
• Reviewing and evaluating applications for admission
• Serving as a full-voting member of the Admission Committee
• Serving as a liaison between the Office of Admission and Student Financial Services and current students, faculty, staff, and alumni
• Organizing and facilitating recruitment events both on and off campus
• Overseeing projects/programs such as fly-in programs and serving as a member of the access team, communications, campus programs, athletics, systems and operations, international recruitment, etc.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent public speaking skills
• Excellent project management skills and ability to prioritize multiple assignments and timelines simultaneously
• Ability to work either independently or as part of a team
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse population of students, faculty, and staff
• Experience learning new software and comfort navigating evolving digital tools and technologies
• A valid driver's license is required
