Admissions Assistant/ Front Desk Support
Job Summary
We are seeking an Admissions Assistant/Front Desk Support to join our dynamic team. The position offers a salary range of $16.90-$22.00 per hour.
About the Role
As an Admissions Assistant/Front Desk Support, you will play a crucial role in attracting suitable candidates for admission and integrating them into the system. Your responsibilities include establishing and maintaining relationships with potential referral sources, conducting tours and pre-admission interviews, and receiving and reviewing inquiries via various channels.
Responsibilities
- Work in coordination with the Business Development function to attract suitable candidates for admission and integrate them seamlessly into the system.
- Establish and maintain a constant working relationship with all potential referral sources.
- Conduct tours and pre-admission interviews with prospective residents/responsible parties and explain all facility services.
- Receive and review all inquiries regarding facility admissions via telephone, email, fax, and in person.
- Extract information from referrals and complete information sheets for team review.
- Review admissions for suitability with the Administrator, Director of Nursing, and Business Office Manager, as appropriate, for admissions decisions.
- Receive and distribute mail, deliveries, and packages.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Perform other administrative and front desk duties as assigned.
- Schedule transportation for residents' appointments.
Requirements
- 2-4 years related experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing environment.
- Understanding of healthcare reimbursement programs.
- Valid driver’s license and clear DMV record, and be insurable under Company's insurance policy.
- Compassion toward residents and their families.
- Knowledgeable of nursing practices, procedures, terminology, laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college with specialization in marketing, communications, or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of Customer Service/Receptionist experience.
- Strong background in skilled nursing care.
