About the role

Responsible for the alignment of clinical services with the Model of Leadership and Service through program design and development. Provides consultation and education in childcare teams and supervision to counseling staff and interns. Oversees the counseling and neurofeedback department and their interventions to ensure alignment with the Cal Farley Model of Leadership and Service, our vision, mission, and approach, as well as all licensing regulations and COA standards.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the Phase 1 Certification in Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics for clinical staff.
  • Provides training to Boys Ranch staff related to clinical issues.
  • Makes clinical diagnoses when necessary in order to provide appropriate treatment recommendations including, but not limited to, interventions, psychotropic medication management and goal setting.
  • Assists in the design, implementation and evaluation of Boys Ranch clinical and neurofeedback interventions for identified residents in accordance with appropriate therapeutic practices.
  • Collaborates with Boys Ranch staff to assess and refer residents for external contract services, medication reviews and Plan Of Service design.
  • Attends and participates in weekly team meetings for assigned clients/teams.
  • Affords crisis intervention for residents to include the use of approved verbal and physical intervention techniques and appropriate assessments regarding specific incidents of abuse or potential abuse involving residents.
  • Affords administrative on-call duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A Master's degree from an accredited university in Social Work, Child Psychology, Counseling, Human Services Administration or related field is required.
  • Must possess a license from the Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners, Texas State Board of Licensed Professional Counselors, Texas State Board of Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists, Texas State Board of Psychologists or similar licensure.
  • Must possess a Supervisory designation from Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners, Texas State Board of Licensed Professional Counselors, Texas State Board of Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists, Texas State Board of Psychologists or similar licensure.
  • Intermediate competency in Microsoft Office for Windows applications (word processing, database, spreadsheet, e-mail, presentation graphics, etc.) is required.
  • Must be proficient in general office equipment operation.
  • Must possess exceptional time management and detail-orientation skills.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Bending, lifting, grasping, fine hand/eye coordination, pushing/pulling, prolonged sitting/standing.
  • Must possess a valid Texas driver's license.
