Administrator - Home and Community Based Services
About the role
This position oversees Home Health and Hospice operations in Grand Island, Hastings and Kearney, NE. The role has a larger size, scope, or complexity.
Responsibilities
- Meets established goals and outcomes
- Ensures regulatory and organizational compliance
- Directs and coordinates work and financial and operational stability
- Coordinates sales and marketing for the agency
- Optimizes customer service and satisfaction
- Creates and maintains a culture of safety for employees and clients
- Directs and coordinates QAPI program
- Communicates necessary changes, issues, and concerns to clients, families, and staff
- Ensures staff are educated on clinical information and trained on clinical practices
- Holds self and team accountable to achieve and sustain desired outcomes
- Maintains HIPAA compliance and protects client rights
- Initiates, directs, and coordinates all projects as assigned
- Expresses ideas and direction clearly, concisely, and effectively
- Supervises, coaches, and mentors staff based on their needs
- Ensures proper staffing and supervision of staff during all service hours
- Follows up thoroughly and consistently
- Addresses staff issues, budget considerations, employee satisfaction, and safety concerns
- Collaborates in data collection and ensures reports are completed and sent to the appropriate governing body
- Maintains agency compliance with legal, regulatory, and accreditation requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, nursing, or related field required
- Master’s degree preferred
- Five years’ experience in a home health, hospice, or relevant healthcare setting required
- Previous leadership experience and healthcare experience, preferably in a home health or hospice agency
- Licensure for state of practice is required
- Current valid driver’s license, and meets all medical guidelines for Sanford Health Category II drivers
