About the role
The Nursing Home Administrator is responsible for overseeing the operations of the facility, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing high-quality care to residents.
Responsibilities
- Maintain current policies and procedures.
- Aid in the development and implementation of performance evaluations.
- Interpret policies and procedures to employees, residents, and others as needed.
- Ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
- Schedule and participate in meetings.
- Inspect the facility to ensure policies and procedures are being followed.
- Represent the facility in dealings with outside agencies.
- Review and submit plans of correction for deficiencies noted during surveys.
- Communicate with residents, patients, and their families.
- Recruit and select qualified personnel.
- Counsel and discipline staff appropriately.
- Maintain relationships with medical professionals and other health-related facilities.
- Create a warm and positive environment.
- Maintain the building and grounds.
- Monitor and respond to resident and patient calls.
- Monitor daily census and ensure budgetary compliance.
- Complete and review incident reports.
- Assist in establishing and maintaining an accounting system.
- Ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Maintain residents' rights and quality of life.
- Monitor and complete daily reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Public Health Administration, Business Administration, or a health-related field.
- Minimum of five years' experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital or long-term care facility.
- Current, unencumbered Nursing Home Administrator's license or reciprocity licensure requirements in the employed state.
Qualifications

- Knowledgeable of reimbursement regulations and nursing policies and procedures.
- Ability to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.

Pay
$120,000 - $170,000 per year.
Schedule
Part-time (22.5+ hours/week) and Full-time positions available.
