About the role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Associate Accountant who combines advanced Microsoft Excel expertise with strong analytical judgment, disciplined time management, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving. This position is responsible for completing recurring and ad hoc accounting activities accurately, resolving issues efficiently, and delivering reliable financial information within established timelines.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, analyze, and reconcile accounting data using advanced Excel tools, formulas, PivotTables, lookups, and data-validation techniques.
- Review financial information for accuracy, identify trends and variances, investigate discrepancies, and translate findings into clear, actionable conclusions.
- Plan and prioritize daily, weekly, monthly, and period-end accounting assignments to ensure all tasks are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Partner effectively with Accounting, Finance, Operations, and other cross-functional teams to gather information, resolve issues, and support shared objectives.
- Support continuous improvement by simplifying reports, strengthening controls, and developing more efficient accounting processes.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years of office experience required; 3+ years of payroll experience preferred.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office & Excel; SAP experience preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with all levels of management.
- Ability to manage variable work activities, set priorities, evaluate results, and coordinate with others.
- Willingness and ability to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
