Administrative Specialist
About the role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Administrative Specialist to provide administrative and operational support to our team. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
Responsibilities
- Review and accurately assign reported claims to the appropriate claims adjuster under established guidelines and supervision.
- Receive, gather, and promptly transmit loss information from insureds, claimants, internal team members, and other stakeholders through the claims reporting system.
- Maintain accurate and complete claim documentation within company systems throughout the claims lifecycle.
- Process incoming Claims Reporting Services (CRS) mail, including scanned mail from the mailroom and correspondence received through paperless email accounts.
- Ensure timely and accurate data entry while adhering to company procedures and compliance requirements.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 0–2 years of administrative or office support experience required.
- Experience in property and casualty insurance or claims administration preferred.
Skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and data entry systems.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to follow established workflows, procedures, and processes while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Able to balance multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
