About the role

HII’s Mission Technologies division is seeking an Office Administrative Specialist to support the program team and program leadership. The role involves tracking procurement status, supporting subcontract customer service activities, maintaining organizational trackers and rosters, conducting research, and preparing routine written documents. The position also assists in developing and updating internal policies and procedures and regularly communicates with internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Represents organizational unit on administrative matters
  • Recommends, interprets, and/or implements company and internal administrative policies and procedures
  • Performs as a generalist a combination of administrative tasks in such functional areas as finance, human resources, logistics/purchasing, research and development
  • May prepare budgeting, project scheduling, and statistical reports as required
  • Takes ownership of learning company business practices; seeks out opportunities to learn and acquire new skillsets
  • Brings a mindset for process improvement to all areas assigned
  • Other duties as assigned or required

Requirements

  • 6 years of relevant experience with a bachelor's in related field; 4 years of relevant experience with a master's in related field; or a High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years of relevant experience
  • Customer service, administrative skills, and/or office work experience
  • Top Secret Clearance
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent time management, verbal, and written communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Possess the ability to effectively communicate with leadership and other staff members
  • Be flexible, demonstrate the ability to prioritize when given multiple work tasks, and communicate conflicts to leadership
  • Dependable team player

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of customer service, administrative skills, and/or office work experience
  • Interest in a career in Procurement, Logistics, Accounting, or related profession
  • Experience with Procurement, Purchasing, Logistics, and/or Accounting
  • Experience with SmartSheet, Deltek Costpoint, Hyland Onbase or other Accounting/AP Procurement systems
  • Experience supporting senior leadership
  • Experience in a remote and/or hybrid position
  • Experience working with/in US Government and/or supporting DoD or other Military customers

The anticipated salary range for this role is $68,614.00 - $90,000.00. Additional benefits include:

Physical Requirements

The role requires occasional travel up to 10%. Physical requirements include sitting for extended periods, occasional lifting, and the ability to operate a computer and phone.
