About the Role
This position provides administrative and operational support across all areas of Tisch College, contributing to the effective functioning of student programs, research centers, the communications team, and administrative operations. Working collaboratively with staff across the College, the role helps coordinate day-to-day activities, supports cross-functional initiatives, and ensures efficient office and program operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced administrative and operational support across Tisch College, including student programs, research centers, communications, and administrative operations.
- Organize and maintain files and databases; create and update forms, student applications, and tracking systems.
- Support the planning and implementation of programs and projects.
- Coordinate logistics for meetings, events, travel, and guest speakers.
- Serve as a key administrative resource for staff, providing information, troubleshooting issues, and supporting day-to-day operations.
- Communicate departmental policies and procedures and assist with administrative processes.
- Prepare and submit forms and requests, support purchasing and business operations, and coordinate office activities.
- Manage all aspects of events from planning to post-event activities, including vendor and speaker coordination and on-site support.
- Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, including students, faculty, staff, community partners, and external visitors.
- Demonstrate cultural awareness, build positive working relationships, exercise sound judgment, and handle confidential information with discretion.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 1-3 years of related administrative office experience.
- Experience working in a culturally diverse environment with a commitment to inclusive excellence.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong technology skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience and knowledge of structures and systems within higher education.
- Experience with Adobe products such as Adobe Illustrator.
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with practitioners and stakeholders in diverse communities.
Pay
Salary range: Minimum $25.20, Midpoint $30.10, Maximum $34.90. Salary is based on related experience, expertise, and internal equity; new hires can generally expect pay between the minimum and midpoint of the range.
