Administrative Professional
Job Overview
The Administrative Professional supports general departmental office functions and provides customer service support to patients, families, and internal staff. Shifts are Tuesdays through Fridays, with specific hours provided.
Essential Functions
- Supports administrative functions and processes that support a department and its team members.
- Schedules meetings, including conference calls and seminars, for internal team members.
- Maintains files and filling systems and provides written and verbal communication support.
- Performs reception duties using various systems like telephone, fax machine, mail services, and email.
- Enters patient demographic information and updates in a medical records system.
- Provides customer service support and assistance to patients, families, physicians, and internal team members.
- Ensures patient safety by adhering to infection control policies and safety guidelines.
- Remains updated with department office operations and established policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: One year of administrative or clerical experience.
- Educational Equivalency: An Associate or higher degree in a related field may substitute for experience requirements on a year-for-year basis.
- Certification/License: None required.
