The Department of Family and Community Services, Office of Children’s Services is recruiting for full-time Administrative Operations Manager 2 in Anchorage or Juneau, Alaska. This position is open to Alaska Residents Only.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Responsible for direction, oversight, and setting statewide policy, controls, and procedures for the OCS administrative, budgetary, and financial functions.
  • Part of the division’s senior management team which makes recommendations on goals and policies, regulations, short- and long-range planning, and efficient management of resources.
  • Provide ongoing professional financial and administrative support and consultative services to all OCS central and regional offices.
  • Cook up responses to legislative inquiries and work with the division’s legislative liaison to prepare fiscal notes.
  • Serve on department-wide committees and workgroups related to the development of cross-divisional administrative and programmatic projects.

Equivalent to Those Typically Gained by

  • Any combination of preparatory post-secondary education and/or progressively responsible professional level experience providing administrative support to a business or organization, business administration, public administration, finance, banking, accounting, industrial relations, marketing, human resource management, logistics and supply chain management, or a similar business field.
