ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE ASSISTANT II/PT
About the role
This position provides administrative support for the Standardized Patient/Simulation Center within the College of Medicine. This position plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of simulation-based learning experiences for students.
Responsibilities
- Serves as primary administrative support for the Standardized Patient (SP)/Simulation Center within the College of Medicine.
- Affords assistance with program logistics, including but not limited to the coordination of daily simulation operations, activities, and occasional events.
- Supports simulation room setup and tear down and maintains cleanliness and order in shared areas including laundering linens.
- Maintains supply levels across exam rooms and student stations, ensuring each area is properly stocked with medical supplies and instructional materials, ordering additional supplies when necessary.
- Updates signage and training materials and assembles packets for SP training sessions.
- Maintains laptops used during simulations, ensuring connectivity with Microsoft Teams, and performing necessary updates and maintenance.
- Affords assistance with updating and validating time-tracking data and other documentation required for session evaluations and program operation.
- Supports SP training and session readiness by distributing photos, session schedules, and equipment as outlined in program procedures.
- Maintains SP job applications on the CMU’s website and prepares materials for new hires.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Three years of qualifying experience or a combination of education and experience that equates to three years.
- Experience with Microsoft Word.
- Customer service experience.
- Organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated positive interpersonal skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to project a positive attitude.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines with accurate results.
- Ability to compose, proofread and edit correspondence.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Familiarity with SAP and Microsoft 365.
- Prior experience in healthcare of medical simulation setting.

Pay
Minimum Starting Rate: $16.60 per hour.
Schedule
Typical work hours will be between 8:00am-5:00pm.
