Administrative Office Assistant
Responsibilities
- Greets patients and families in a friendly, professional manner, ensuring patient needs are met.
- Ensures patient insurance and demographic information is current for accurate billing and communication.
- Affords assistance with patient scheduling.
- Maintains strict patient confidentiality via records, conversations, and the EMR system (HIPAA).
- Enters medical information into the EMR system.
- Provides a clean and safe environment for patients, families, and employees, including, yet not limited to tidying lobby and treatment areas, as well as completing superficial grounds maintenance.
- Collections payments as required for patient care and billing.
- Sanitizes therapy toys and supplies.
- Sorts mail and stocks daily supplies to ensure seamless day-to-day operations of the facility.
Requirements
- Effective communication, reading, writing, math, and computer skills.
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask to meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated and collaborative; a team player.
Qualifications
- Hourly range $18-$20 (depending on office-setting experience).
- Administrative Office Assistant Hours: Monday-Thursday 3:15 pm-6:00pm.
