About the role
Our nationally accredited team is currently seeking a Group Coordinator to provide administrative support and care collaboration to current and future clients and their families.
Responsibilities
- Meet with clients and their families in person and/or via secure platforms for referral and care coordination to our mental health group services
- Ensure timely follow-up on referrals to group clients for both internal and external referrals
- Build and maintain positive relationships with community partners to coordinate referrals
- Facilitate entry into group services upon discharge from higher levels of care - e.g. from a hospital
- Coordinate weekly psychiatry appointments for group clients
- Cook up step-down care following group graduation
- Review financial agreements for group clients including explaining in plain language basic components of insurance coverage
- Effectively communicate the medical necessity and value of group care
- Contribute to continuous improvement of group programming by identifying gaps and recommending solutions
- Track and follow-up on incomplete documents and financial agreements by phone, email, and secure text messaging
- Track and follow-up on client attendance and absence from group-based services
Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Experience in a healthcare or behavioral health setting preferred
- Experience working with an electronic healthcare record (EHR) preferred
- Strong basic computing skills with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel)
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to work well with frequent interruptions, and ability to communicate with a variety of others in a manner that is direct, clear, courteous, and tactful in person, by phone, and by email
- Provide current level one fingerprint clearance card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety and renew as applicable
- Continuously maintain active Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and first aid certification
