About the role
The position works under the direction and supervision of the Supervisor of Cancer Support Services, the Senior Director of Oncology or other appropriate management staff to support in the delivery of cost-effective, clinically competent, reliable healthcare in a safe, respectful manner that ensures patient respect and dignity.
Responsibilities
- Serves as a liaison between the Cancer Partnership programs, Hospital and support services.
- Patient Support Services includes Integrative Medicines, Patient support, patient navigation/ACS, Cancer Resource Center, Genetics, and office staff as it relates to communicating the services, goals, outcomes, and needs of the Cancer Support Services and nutrition.
- Works with public relations to develop information regarding the services provided by the Cancer Partnership Patient Support Services.
- Maintains the oncology website, updates and orders flyers and other advertising materials.
- Provides effective and efficient front office services as needed by performing clerical, scheduling, and records activities in support of patients and staff and patient support genetics programs.
- Serves as a liaison with the American Cancer Society (ACS) and Cancer Resource Center volunteers.
- Participates as a fully engaged member of the care team, by demonstrated commitment to service and compassion for the patients of Providence and their families.
- Functions as a backup to the registry, cancer conference agendas activities and first floor scheduler.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- 2 years of Healthcare experience.
- 3 years of experience in customer service in a healthcare setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree in Business Administration.
- Experience working in a non-profit organization with a leadership background.
- Experience in development of brochures and public information regarding the services, funds procurement, data management, survey tool development, meeting agendas and meeting facilitation.
