Job Summary
We are seeking an Administrative Associate to join our Business Operations team at Cummins Inc. in Indianapolis, IN. This role involves coordinating documents, gathering and inputting data, and supporting a team, department, or organizational leader.
About the role
Provides administrative support by conducting research, preparing reports, and handling routine to complex information requests. Gathers, compiles, and verifies information and enters it accurately into documents and office systems. Completes data collection, entry, and report generation on various departmental activities. Performs associate functions such as preparing correspondence, receiving visitors, arranging conference calls, and scheduling meetings. Responds to inquiries from external and internal sources about the organization/department, its activities, or processes. Prepares documentation for vendor payments and submits requests to the accounting system. Documents and maintains departmental policies and procedures. Participates in business improvement assignments and projects as needed. Acts as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience.
Responsibilities
- Conducts research and prepares statistical reports
- Gathers, compiles, and verifies information and enters it accurately into documents and office systems
- Completes data collection, data entry, and report generation on various departmental activities
- Prepares correspondence, receives visitors, arranges conference calls, and schedules meetings
- Responds to and redirects routine to complex inquiries from external or internal sources
- Prepares documentation for payment of vendors, suppliers, and other third parties
- Documents and maintains departmental policies and procedures
- Participates in business improvement assignments and projects as needed
- Performs other routine to complex administrative activities as needed

Qualifications
