Job Summary
The Administrative Associate supports the Department of Behavioral Health and three programs under the Butte County Children's Services Division. They provide office support services, manage intakes, assist with paperwork, and assist with client files.
Essential Functions
- Maintains complete and accurate data entry within established timelines
- Provides effective phone coverage
- Maintains an effective filing system
- Maintains an effective inventory of office supplies
- Communicates effectively with appropriate site personnel in a professional manner regarding assigned tasks that integrate with site processes
- Aids in administrative functions such as intakes, completing paperwork, and assisting with client files
- Identifies areas of improvement to maintain excellence in the administrative processes and makes suggestions to the Administrative Supervisor
- Performs additional responsibilities as assigned and if applicable to the site
Position/Site Requirements
- Must possess a valid California driver's license, personal automobile insurance and driving record that meets the standards outlined in the Agency’s Policy: Motor Vehicle Operating Standards
- Must be physically and mentally fit in accordance with the Agency’s Policy: Physical Fitness Standards and Examinations
- Must be willing to complete a Tuberculosis (TB) test and drug screening test
- Must complete a personal background investigation conducted by the State of California
- Must be willing to work within a culturally integrated workplace and be willing to respect human differences based upon protected classes as defined by state, federal and local laws
Physical Requirements
- Have an adequate range of body motion and mobility to work in a residential, office or outdoor environment including standing and walking (even and uneven surfaces), alternating between standing and sitting for extended periods of time, bending, kneeling, twisting, reaching balancing and occasional carrying and lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally, and up to 10 pounds frequently
- Physically able to walk up and down stairs routinely
- Physically able to perform CPR and First Aid as trained
- Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time in a vehicle for traveling to recreational activities, home visits, DCFS and court locations which may be up to 100 miles driving distance
- Requires the ability to utilize computer and telephone systems, which includes the coordination of eye and hand and fine manipulation by the hands and fingers for typing, writing and working with files
Compensation
- Pay Range: $21.51/per hour - $29.58/per hour (actual salary is dependent on verification of applicable experience above the minimum qualifications for the role)
- Bilingual Pay (Spanish): $1.92/hr
