PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT
Provides customer service, marketing, and administrative assistance to the location manager and other personnel.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Answers phone and communicates with appropriate personnel to resolve customer inquiries promptly.
- Pays close attention to detail, prioritizes work daily, and displays organization skills to keep up with continuously changing demands.
- Covers meetings, schedules, and prepares for meetings, as requested.
- Receives and records paid on accounts and prepares and balances daily deposits to the sales report. Ensures daily credit of deposits to the company’s bank account.
- Ensures accurate pricing and maintains a record of current price lists.
- Compiles data and prepares invoices by gathering purchase orders, sales tickets, delivery tickets, load-out documents, and charge slips for billings using computer-based programs and software.
- Posts billing transactions to accounting records and ensures accurate and consistent billing methods.
- Orders, maintains and reconciles inventory by reviewing shipping documents and bills of lading to verify products received/returned and transferred in/out and enter product movement.
- Captures physical counts of inventory, reconciles inventory variances, and posts inventory transactions.
- Affords support to newly hired Administrative Assistants and assists in monthly customer statement distribution.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
- Assists department managers and sales staff with marketing activities.
- Occasionally may be asked to drive and run local errands as requested.
REQUIREMENTS
- Normally requires an associate’s degree in a related field or equivalent and related experience to demonstrate:
- A high degree of professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Strong mathematical skills, computer proficiency, and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work hours other than those considered normal at various times throughout the year to meet deadlines and demands.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
- Ability and willingness to participate in required training, including education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training related to the position’s requirements.
