About The Role

This is an exceptional opportunity to partner directly with the President, North America, supporting a key leader responsible for one of Springer Nature's most important markets. As a trusted advisor and strategic partner, you will play a critical role in enabling leadership effectiveness, managing priorities across a complex global organization, and helping drive business outcomes. The role offers unique exposure to senior leaders across Springer Nature, customers, partners, and industry stakeholders. You will operate at the heart of decision-making, gaining insights into commercial strategy, organizational leadership, and business operations. Responsibilities

  • Manage a complex executive calendar, ensuring effective prioritization of meetings, business commitments, travel, and stakeholder engagement activities while demonstrating strong organizational savvy, sound judgment, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Serve as a trusted partner to the President, North America, proactively anticipating needs, identifying scheduling conflicts, navigating organizational dynamics, and ensuring preparedness for key meetings, presentations, and events through strong interpersonal awareness, adaptability, and manages complexity capabilities.
  • Coordinate domestic and international travel arrangements, including detailed itineraries, briefing materials, logistics, and expense management, applying strong financial acumen and problem-solving skills to ensure cost-effective and seamless execution.
  • Organize and support leadership meetings, town halls, business reviews, and other strategic forums, including agenda development, document preparation, meeting logistics, action tracking, and follow-up, ensuring alignment to business objectives through effective goal alignment and execution excellence.
  • Facilitate effective communication between the President's office and internal and external stakeholders, including senior executives, customers, partners, and cross-functional teams, leveraging exceptional interpersonal awareness and relationship-building skills to foster collaboration and influence outcomes.
  • Prepare, draft, edit, and coordinate high-quality correspondence, presentations, reports, and other materials, often involving confidential or sensitive information, while exercising professionalism, discretion, and sound business judgment.
  • Support key business initiatives and special projects by coordinating activities, tracking deliverables, following up with stakeholders, and ensuring deadlines are met, demonstrating adaptability, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage complexity across multiple workstreams.
  • Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality, professionalism, resilience, and discretion while managing sensitive business information and executive interactions, remaining calm and effective under pressure through strong being resilient capabilities.
  • Anticipate, assess, and respond effectively to unexpected business challenges, scheduling disruptions, travel issues, and urgent executive priorities, utilizing crisis management, sound decision-making, and flexibility to minimize impact and maintain business continuity.
  • Support employee engagement activities, leadership visits, customer meetings, and other events that strengthen business performance and organizational culture, ensuring activities are aligned with strategic priorities and business goals through strong goal alignment and stakeholder management.
  • Partner across the North America leadership team to navigate organizational priorities, influence outcomes, and drive alignment on key initiatives, demonstrating exceptional organizational savvy, business acumen, and executive presence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 8+ years of experience supporting senior executives, preferably within a global, matrixed organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex calendars, competing priorities, and high-volume executive demands with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Outstanding organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, CoPilot, and Excel.
  • Highly proactive, resourceful, and adaptable, with the ability to anticipate needs, solve problems independently, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience supporting a C-suite executive, business unit president, or senior commercial leader.
  • Experience coordinating executive-level meetings or leadership team operations.
  • Project management experience, including tracking deliverables across multiple stakeholders and workstreams.
  • Familiarity with CRM, expense management, or collaboration platforms used in large global organizations.
  • Experience working within publishing, media, education, information services, or professional services organizations is preferred.

Pay

US Annualized Base Salary Range: $70,000 - $95,000. The salary offer may vary based on work experience, education, skill level and equity.
